Okay here I will post exactly who and where you can find hidden characters. There are two hidden characters in the game.


Yuffie Kisaragi
While roaming around a forest you may run into a strange little girl named Yuffie Kisaragi. Yuffie is a female ninja and a Materia hunter.

How do you find her?

Roam around any forest ( I found her near Junon Harbor) and you will randomly encounter her with the temporary name "Mystery Ninja". Equip yourself against fire for this fight, but you shouldn't worry too much she isn't that hard.

How do you get her to join your team?

First fight her, then after the fight you will go into a scene that has her lying on the ground along with a save point. Examine her and you will start a long conversation.
Now during your chatting do not do anything that could make Yuffie not be in the screen, meaning don't go to the save point, don't try and name her, and DO NOT insult her, she's very proud.
And if everything goes well she will join your team. But if not she will run off with some of your money and you'll have to try again.

Vincent Valentine
Where do you find him?

Vincent is locked away in the Shinra Mansion Basement in Nibelheim. The door to his room is locked, but you can find the key easily.. kinda. Unlock the safe on the top floor of Shinra Masion and fight the boss, Lost Number. After winning the battle you'll find the Basement in the safe. Unlock the door to Vincent's Room.
How do you get him to join your team>

Talk to Vincent once you've unlocked his door to his room. Tell him about Sephiroth.. and guess what? He falls back asleep! But wake him up again and get him to tell you his name. He'll go back to sleep (What a bum!). But on your way out of the Shinra Mansion he will join your team, and he is worth all the trouble!!!
